WELCOME TO LINDFIELD BOWLING CLUB
The idea for a lawn bowling clubwas generated by a small group of parents from East Lindfield Public School. The site chosen was dense scrubland and a large rocky outcrop at what is now 2B Carlyle Road. The area was in those days frequented by the Lyrebird, hence the club logo. Six allotments were purchased for 600 pounds! A princely sum for those times.
Since then the Club has developed into one of the premier clubs on the North Shore. Today the club offers a wonderfull venue for recreational and competitive bowls for both men and women with mixed social bowls held three days a week.
Recently refurbished the club now provides a modern and ideal venue for functions in a wonderfull peacefull setting.
Lindfield Bowling Club is located in the leafy surrounds of Carlyle Road with ample off street parking. The Club was established in the early 1950's and now sports three of the best greens in NSW.
One of the features distinguishing our Club is that on the two regular days WEDNESDAY, and SATURDAY both men and women are welcome to play on the same days and mixed games are available.
The Club has bar facilities as well as an attractively refurbished function venue.
These facilities currently provide for a bridge club as well as being available for a variety of social functions.
New members are especially welcome and free coaching is provided prior to joining the Club. Membership and green fees are at this point of time one of the lowest on the northern suburbs of Sydney. There are no age restrictions to membership.
Bowls is available to those seeking competitive as well as social bowls. A range of men's, women's and mixed club competitions cater for a wide range of skills with handicap events being very popular.
